Tensil Inc. Privacy Policy
Last Modified January 22, 2020
This document describes the policy that governs the information we process to support the Bettercam application. When you choose to share the information below with us, we collect and use it to operate our services. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, and delete your information.
Information we collect and utilize is categorized into three areas:
Information you choose to submit
Information we collect related to your usage of the service
Information we collect from and share with third parties
Information you choose to submit
Account Information
When you create an account, you must provide us with some personal data so that we can provide our services to you. This includes a username, a password, and an email address or phone number. We also collect the content you create, upload, or receive from others when using our services. This includes things, photos and videos you save and comments you make on videos.
Contact Information and Address Books
We use contact information, such as your email address or phone number, to authenticate your account and keep it secure. We also use contact information to enable you to connect with others on the service. If you provide us with your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from the service to that number as your country’s laws allow. We also use your contact information to market to you as your country’s laws allow, and to help others find your account if your settings permit, including through third-party services and client applications. You can choose to upload and sync your address book so that we can help you find and connect with people you know.
Media Capture
We provide several different types of video and image capture capabilities within the application. In order to enable the DVR feature that lets you save media after you see it, we store all of the media taken with the camera for any session (a session is the duration when you open the camera until you exit the camera) on your device, including media that you don’t take a specific action to capture or save. The different media capture features let you make a decision to deliberately capture or save media permanently which is then transferred from your device and stored in shared cloud folders as well as on your phone’s camera roll. We do not transfer any media from the device that you do not deliberately capture or save from within the application. All of the media captured in the application with the DVR is stored temporarily on the device and can be accessed from memory until it is discarded or written over by the device.
Messages and media sharing
We provide certain features that let you share content, communicate and control who sees your content. When you communicate with others by sending or receiving Messages, we will store and process your communications and information related to them. When you message people and share media, remember that others have copies of your media, even if you delete these, which they may download, duplicate, etc.
